A 29-year-old female asked:
How long after having a tubal sterilization does it take to stop ovulating? i've been premenopausal since having the surgery done in 2011.

Depends: There is no correlation between tubal sterilization and cessation of ovulation. In other words, tubal ligation does not stop you from ovulating. It is debated if tubal sterilization affects ovarian blood supply and hence eventually the function of the ovaries which includes ovulation
