Rectal prolapse: The tissues of the rectum expand when you strain and can give you extra tissues that might permanently hang out of your rectum. In order to prevent this adjust your diet so that you eat more fiber filled foods. Just taking the lactulose is not enough. Also it is important that you stay hydrated so the that the fiber filled bowels have enough water.
