Irrelevant : Cancer of the testicles is a rare cancer that can occur anywhere in the testicles. I'm not aware of strong data suggesting it might be more frequent on palpation on top vs. Side etc. The key message is that it affects young adult (usually up to 35 yo) and any unexplained painless new mass should prompt an immediate cosultation.

Anywhere: There are different types of testicular cancer which arise from different cell types. Since the different cell types are distributed throughout the testicle, the cancer may develop anywhere in the testicle. the most common type of testicular cancer is seminoma.

I agree except that I would say non-seminoma are more common than pure seminoma.

Provided original answer
Seminomas account for between 40 and 45% of testicular cancers. The remainder of non-seminomas are mixed cell types, with no one type being as prevalent as seminoma.

In the testicle: anywhere within the testicle Not to be confused with the ropy structure (varicocele) much more frequently occurring adjacent to the testicle.

Testicular cancer: I've seen many testicular cancers as specimens and never noticed any one particular area of involvement over the other. Testicular cancer is most common in young men. If you feel something abnormal see a urologist asap.

No: I know of no territorial preference for the development of testicular cancer.
