With herpes, transmitting happens when there's an outbreak (mostly). what about hpv16? this means it'll always pass on or when there's an infection??

HPV/HSV: HPV can be passed as long as you have active virus available. Herpes (HSV) can be transmitted during and often times just before symptoms. Unlike herpes, hpv can be transmitted for years without any signs or symptoms
