I have hsv2(high ref range). so do i have herpes? isnt hsv2 the same as having herpes? i do have outbreaks but not often, but its still herpes right?

Family practice : There is herpes simplex 1 and 2. You stated you have a titer for herpes simplex 2. That is usually consider oral herpes which will cause cold sores. Herpes 1. Considered to cause venereal sores/ulcers. Both may be passed sexually with oral sex. Once it is in your system you will have it for life. Out breaks occur without warning. You may be contagious without knowing. See your dr for treatment.
