Contact dermatitis: Poison ivy can get on your penis if you touch a plant and then your privates. If you did that, about 2-3 days later, it would do exactly what you describe, and the itching normally lasts about 3 weeks. The itching is normally quite severe, so it would be best if you saw your doctor and got prescription medication and made sure the diagnosis is correct. Rashes have to be seen to be diagnosed.
