Is it normal for a period to skip a month if sexually active? can sex delay a period in general?

Not normally: Pregnancy of course is first reason,...But anxiety can cause period issues. Other causes would be possible thyroid disorders, and an anovulatory cycle (you do not release an egg), rapid weight loss or gain (increased exercise). and various hormonal issues. Good luck

No: There is simply no mechanism for vigorous sex to delay a period. Now that said, very athletic women in their teens and early twenties CAN have amennorhea ( skipped periods) from their athletic lifestyle. We see this in gymnasts and dancers, and competitive athletes of all kinds. It's ok as an infrequent occurrence, but can also be a sign of underweight and disordered eating. Hope this helps!
