Depends on test used: Older tests could take approximately 2 months to turn positive. Modern tests (modern HIV antibody/p24 antigen with or without viral load) would have turned positive before 24 days. It depends on the test used in your case. Because few tests are 100% sensitive, some recommend checking again in 2 weeks if there is sufficient suspicion of HIV infection. I recommend using brand name condoms.
