Minor: Micronor (norethindrone) is a Progesterone only contraceptive. Se are rare but could be similar to the pms time of your cycle, such as bloating, breast tenderness, mood swings, headache, acne, or weight gain. It is not quite as effective as the pills containing estrogen but is often used when estrogen needs to be avoided, such as breast-feeding, migraines, or clotting history.

Possible bleeding: Most birth controll pills contain both estrogen and Progesterone which is how the pills help establish a balance and thus, facilitate the regulation of menstruation. Micronor (norethindrone) only contains progsterone, and is used for patients who may have contraindications to estrogen or for breastfeeding patients (estrogen drys up milk production). Therefore, expect some spotting to irregular bleeding.
