Possibly but unlikel: Any time you are sexually active without adequate contraception, pregnancy is possible.

No likely Not likely: Ovulation occurs 14 days before the period starts. The egg is fertile for only about 24 hours after ovulation so you can not conceive three days before your period starts since the egg would already be over 10 days old. Consider contraception if you do not want to become pregnant.

Yes: Although it doesn't sound too likely based on the information you have given, there is always a possibility. Very good and very accurate home pregnancy tests are readily available, so if you have any doubts you should use one now and repeat it in 10 days if necessary.

Possibly: Purchase and perform a home pregnancy test. They usually become positive when you are about a week late. If it's negative, repeat in one week and call your doctor.

Sure why not?: Do home pregnancy test repeat weekly if needed. Menses is every 3 to 5 weeks, 9 to 13 a year, lasting 1 to 8 days. Keep menstrual diary and see doctor if your periods does not fall within these parameters.

Can i get pregnant if I am on the pill and three days after my period I have unprotected sex?

Possible ...: ... But unlikely. When taken properly, the pill is very effective. Also three days after the cessation of your period is not the best timing if you are trying to get pregnant. If you are concerned that you are pregnant, consult your doctor and check a pregnancy test. Be careful, you only get one body. Take good care of it.

Can I get pregnant 3 days after my period is done, after having unprotected sex?

Doubtful: You ovulate 2 weeks BEFORE your period, which is usually mid cycle if your period is regular, so sex 3 days after your cycle will most likely NOT cause a pregnancy. That being said, get on BC and use Condoms to also protect against STI's. Good luck.
Dr. Heidi Fowler
Psychiatry 25 years experience
Would be more likely with a short menstrual cycle.
