Many: It could interfere with relationships with your partner. Could cause problems with irritation of the skin, urethra and vessels of the penis if performed improperly or too aggressively, could cause guilt, anxiety and other emotional and behavioral issues. Could interfere with job, interpersonal relationships, general mental health and other things depending on how much and how often.

Should be none: Masturbation should be harmless to the body as long as he or she does not use too much force or friction on his or her genitals. One should realize that the body has essentially the same response to masturbation as to sex for the purpose of reproduction. That means the body reacts just as it does during sexual intercourse, which, of course, has no harmful side effects on the body.

Your choice, man!: If you have an obsession with erotica that's interfering with your socializing, studying and/or working, your physician can help. The practice teaches you about your mind & body to prepare you for adult life, keeps you comfortable & focused. Downside -- embarrassing to get caught. Think about the girl you'll marry. Talk with some smart grown men, maybe even dad.

Here's a few: If you don't have a partner, you will usually find you need to masturbate. It won't increase your circle of friends, but it won't make you sick or a bad person. Vary your grip -- otherwise it may be harder in the long run for you to be successful with some partners. Especially, if you've decided to save sex for that one special person, you're making a great decision.
