Is it safe?: If you were taking your pills on a regular basis and not missing days then it is as safe as it ever going to be on birth control pills. Generally speaking, 3% of all women on the pill get pregnant puryear. If you're that worried about it not working you may want to practice an additional four birth control when you're midcycle. You could use a spermicidal suppository, or maybe just use condoms during the "at risk".
