High heels place increased pressure onto the ball of the foot. Some people develop swelling, blisters and calluses from the increased pressure. To help reduce this pressure, try wearing a slightly chunky heel that is less high and a shoe that has a steel shank which helps support the entire foot. Also, try placing a metatarsal pad just behind (toward heel) ball of foot to redistribute pressure.
