It depends...: This depends on your size, activity level and the type of calories (low-glycemic foods help the most). Most people will lost weight on a 1200 calorie diet but weight loss on such a diet will be temporary unless you make long-term changes in your diet. The key to losing weight is to eat less, but not all calories are created equal. Sugars & simple carbs from grains esp cause weight gain.
