See physiatrist: There are many things that can temporarily relieve symptoms from piriformis syndrome including nerve pain meds, massage, trigger point injections, botox, acupuncture, etc. Vitamin b and d levels should be normal too. Nothing takes the place of physical therapy in terms of addressing the factors that are causing it to begin with (so it doesn't come back). Nerve glides can help relieve the pain.

Follow advice: Pisiformis syndrome is unusual but seen in younger patients, esp. Runners. I would follow your ors advice w/p.T.If you are a runner u may want to cross train for a few weeks.
