Low: While all surgery carries a risk, if your obstetrician is experienced, the odds are low. You need to ask him/her why they are recommending the c-section, then balance the risks versus benefits. If you don't trust the answer, get a second opinion. Bad outcomes can happen either way. The only mistake is not to listen to the voice of experience.
