TMJ problem: One possibility is TMJ dysfunction and/or dislocation. This is the joint of your jaw by your ear that opens and closes your jaw. There are many reasons for problems with this joint. Talk to dentist or maxillo-facial surgeon about problems. Other possibility is an infection in the area, m either in tooth, jaw bone itself, gums or ear. So if feeling sick or have fever, problem is more urgent- see doc.
