Prepare and see MD: Prior to and after elevation, ginko biloba, rhodiola rosea, anti-oxidants may help. Ibuprofen, coca leaves, and o2 supplementation may also help. Increase water and avoid alcohol. Your doctor may prescribe acetazolamide to help with symptoms. Itpp(myo-inositol tripyrophosphate) holds promise, due to enhancing hemoglobin release of oxygen. Nitric oxide has been shown to be effective, as well.

Lightheaded: There could be several reasons why you feel lightheaded in a colder climate. The air may be very dry and you could become lightheaded because of becoming dehydrated by not drinking enough water. Also, if this place is at a higher altitude, you may be experiencing symptoms of altitude or mountain sickness.

Multiple reasons: If you have anemia (low blood counts) you can get dizzy. If you have blockages of your neck arteries, you can also get dizzy while talking especially if you wear a tight neck collar & tie. Finally, if you have anxiety, this can also contribute to the sensation of dizziness.
