Common problem: If Tums don't help most ob's will allow patients to take an h2 blocker such as zantac (ranitidine) otc but i would ask your OB first. Don't eat greasy , fried or spicy foods and avoid eating at night before bed. Avoid mints as they increase gerd/heartburn symptoms.

Raise head of bed: You might try elevating the head of you bed about 6' on blocks or books. Gravity is your friend. Don't try propping up, it will
put even more pressure on you stomach.
