LASIK 4 astigmatism: Lasik can do a great job of treating even very high amounts of astigmatism. The higher the astigmatism, the greater is the benefit of laser eye surgery. Lasik for astigmatism improves the quality and quantity of the vision when compared to glasses and contact lenses. There should be no need for glasses after lasik in most cases. Lasik is not appropriate until the eye is stable. So not for kids.
