Hypoglycemia: A very common problem after gastric bypass is low blood sugar after certain foods. It is very important that you 1. Avoid refined sugars and simple carbohydrates (white flour, bread, rice etc) 2. You need to eat 6-8 small protein rich meals per day instead of 3 big meals. Protein such as lean meats, nuts, seeds, peanut butter will keep your sugar from dropping.
