Not w/o Dr approval: Responsible voices will agree - especially during this or any infection - ask doctor for advice on any change you confront. The frequency may be altered - another med may be added. While you are working together on this condition it is your job to keep the doctor fully & accurately involved. It may not be only the issue of too much but also a sign of progress or lack. Advise dr & get well soon!

Usually no: Discuss additional inhalers with your doc, such as ipratropium and especially inhaled steroids. Dosing more frequently does not help much but increases side effects. Perhaps you need an antimicrobial? Discuss with your doc.
