My 6 yr old just woke up all red and itchy. no known allergies. his body looks like a full sunburn but its not. he is not taking medicine. he is very itchy. serious?

Allergy: I suspect some kind of allergic exposure. You can give him Benadryl (diphenhydramine) per the age chart on the bottle. If worse, take him to see doc. Otherwise, avoid hot water, bath sponges, drying brands of soaps that will make allergy worse.

See pediatrician: This sounds allergic. It is systemic and probably needs systemic medication. Take the child to the pediatrician for an evaluation.
