Avoid any object: being inserted. use mineral oil drops to lossen build up or a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. just let few drops run into ear, enjoy the bubble and then let it all run out and dry ear as needed outside the canal only

Irrigate in shower: I like my patients to use a bulb syringe in the shower with warm soapy water and gently irrigate the ear canals until the wax comes out. Sometime using something like debrox before will make the wax softer and increase success.
