Are you 16 or 41?: Your profile says you're 41, so i'm assuming the question pertains to a son or daughter? The popping requires no treatment. It's just a tendon moving over a bony prominence with stretching. Chest pain in a 16 year old is generally not serious but has a long list of possible causes - you should address with your pediatrician.
