Dry tongue: Hi, multiple possibilities including breathing with ur mouth instead of ur nose while sleeping because of likely nose septa deviation or polyps, also Allergy, bad dental hygiene, smoking are other reasons, make sure that u see ur dentist regularly, use mouth wash, stay away from smoking. See ur PMD to evaluate ur nose.
Best of luck.

In addition to the excellent information above, dry mouth in the morning often occurs if the person is getting dry at night. Some causes are losing weight, early stage of unrecognized diabetes, consumption of alcohol or caffeine the previous evening. Brush the tongue well at night when brushing teeth and use mouth rinse. Dry mouth accelerates the formation of cavities in the teeth.

My tongue was bit on really hard, and now it hurts! I have a small white bump on the end of my tongue and I always find myself playing with it. Help!?

Very common to: play with that bump on your tongue that is there because you bit it hard and caused some trauma and perhaps bleeding, and some inflammatory tissue built up in area causing a bump. that will go away, may take couple weeks. in the meantime try not to play with it-:).
