could you tell me what happens if cancer goes undetected for a very long time?

Dr. Sewa Legha
50 years experience Medical Oncology
It varies with each: Cancer covers more than one hundred different diseases. Each of them follow a variable course and grow and spread at differing speeds. Most cancers remain localized for several months during which time these are curable by simple surgical excision. If left unattended for more than 6-12 months there is a definite risk of spreading into regional lymph nodes, as well as into other internal organs.
