Habit: Eating sweet usually starts out as a habit. Next, you may train your Insulin system or fat cells to quickly use up that fuel and go hungry again. Especially processed sugars (high fructose corn syrup) are broken down fast and are usually turned into fat. If you eat a lot of carbs, you may lack nutrients in your diet and your body may keep craving (only to get fed more empty carbs).
