Each eye is separate: Only in rare instances does disease in one eye affect the other eye such as a condition called sympathetic ophthalmia where your immune system attacks the other eye because of trauma or injury with the first eye. Systemic disease such as diabetes can cause bilateral disease also.

See an eye doctor: There are too many reasons to list! you need to see an eye doctor asap, especially if you feel your better-seeing eye is losing vision. Don't delay.
