Will a kidney problem make you have urgency to urinate all the time?

Maybe (not) . . .: Kidney infection is a type of urinary tract infection (bladder infection is other). All utis typically cause painful frequent urination w/sense of urgency. But chronic kidney disease will not do so. Diabetes mellitus & insipidus along w/diuretics can cause frequent urination. Overactive bladder can cause urgency plus frequency. Go see your family doc for evaluation.

Frequency: Urinary infections and kidney stones can do this but mostly primary kidney problems don't present with urinary frequency.
