6 days not usual: Migraines typically last hours or days, but six days is longer than is common. You may need to try different meds if the ones you are taking are not helpful. Triptans are medications specific for migraines that will usually very effective. Sometimes it requires stronger medications such as narcotics to abort the migraine. NO NEED TO PANIC: If you had anything serious you cant be going on for 1 year. If someone has early morning headaches, associated with projectile vomiting that is vomiting with a force and double vision you need to worry. If some one has severe neck stiffness or fever need to worry. Yours is more like chronic daily headache possibly tension headache
