The wrong answer: I'm not aware of any reason to think they'll help either with the physical problems caused by alcohol, or the craving. It'll upset your stomach and can make you copper deficient. An alcoholic needs sobriety by whatever means, not one more non-evidence-based treatment or distraction. I've seen lives transformed by sobriety many years into the illness.

Take in moderation: Too much zinc can prevent absorption of other elements such as iron and magnesium.
