Bone Tumor: It is a bone tumor that occurs in teenagers mostly but not exclusively. It can be very subtle on x-ray and hard to diagnose. It is highly malignant.

Let me help: Ewing sarcoma is a malignant round-cell tumor. It is a rare disease in which cancer cells are found in the bone or in soft tissue. The most common areas in which it occurs are the pelvis, the femur, the humerus, the ribs and clavicle. Thank you.
Dr. Ilya Iofin
Orthopedic Surgery 18 years experience
Rare cancer: It affects primarily teens and young adults, but can occur at almost any age. It usually occurs in bone, but can also be in the soft tissues. Chemotherapy is needed for the best chance of cure. Surgery and/or radiation are also given. The tumor can spread to the lungs and other bones. With modern treatment, the chances of cure are good. Amputation is very rarely needed.
