Vocal chord dysfunction doctor; what can I expect on the first visit!?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Brian Affleck
29 years experience in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery
Larynx exam: For patients who have any kind if voice disorder, the larynx (voice box) needs to be examined. Years ago, all we had to look down the throat in clinic was a small mirror. These small mirrors are still used, but an advance in fiber optics made available the flexible scope. To get a great view if the voice box, if a mirror is not successful or simply inadequate, is to use one of these scopes.
