Yes but not all type: Lasik is a very good procedure for regular astigmatism. It has been fda approved for correction for about 20 years. Irregular astigmatism can have many causes, and lasik generally is not as effective or indicated. Certain procedures we are evaluating now appear to be better for irregular astigmatism.
A thorough evaluation by your eye surgeon is needed to determine if lasik is right for astig.

Yes: Yes. As long as the astigmatism is regular and all other measurements are normal, then lasik can be considered for correction.

LASIK ; Astigmatism: Lasik is generally very effective at correcting astigmatism. It is possible for astigmatism to be too severe to correct but this occurs in only a very small minority of cases.
