i have asthma but i have developed a really nasty cough i smoke cigarettes often but i haven't in two days i woke up this morning with sore throat?

A cold: You may just have a viral infection but keep staying off smoking regardless. You can do without it for 2 days so you should be able to get off it altogether. Remember that catching a cold often worsens your asthma.
