6 yr old mild bronchitis for 8wks 3courses amoxcillyn blood test clear and chest.Cant get rid of phlemy cough.What will clear the cough. Did xray bron?

Cough: Three courses of Amoxicillin in about 2 months?.... Too much. May be it was not needed in the first place. Seems like it started with viral infection, now persistance of cough. He should be evaluated for allergy and asthma. X-ray is not for diagnosis of asthma. 6 year can co-operate with pulmonary function test for asthma dx. Talk to child's pediatrician, if doesn't agree- get second opinion.
