Need more info.: Atypical chest pain and "funny beating" of the heart are fairly common complaints. Sometimes they are caused by an arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat); sometimes they are associated with a heart murmur. However, it's best to see your doctor or a cardiologist. A careful history and physical exam, along with appropriate tests, would likely reveal the answer.
