Retinoic acid: If there are a lot of blackheads, topical benzoyl peroxide is unlikely clear you, but a retinoic acid derivative topically may do the trick. Your physician should be in charge of this. If this is not sufficient, adding a topical or systemic antibiotic may work. For more serious disease, a dermatology consult is in order. Home remedies are adjuncts only. Best wishes.
