Avoid it: Swaddeling is a reasonable thing in the newborn to replicate the feeling in the womb and allow them to settle. It should be loosened daily with the goal of no swaddeling at all by 1 month.By that time baby needs to be puut down on a firm mattress with no pillows, blankets or bumpers. We loose babies every year who suffocate in their bed material.
