Lo Loestrin: The goal of many of the low dose oral contraceptives is to have lighter flow for shorter periods of time. If you are taking your pills correctly, the fear of pregnancy should not be one you have. The lighter flow and fewer numbers of days of bleeding is a goal, not a liability.

Maybe iron deficient: You may still be iron deficient since menses may be heavier when there is significant iron deficiency.
