Probably: The best way to find out if you are really sick is to have an exam by a dentist or a physician. What you may think is a psychosomatic condition may in reality be a dangerous condition. Only a history, exam and test can determine for sure. Also, if you are feeling sick and you are still not satisfied with your dentists answer, get a second or even third opinion.

If you are asking whether a dentist can tell if you were throwing up because you are ill or if it is bulimia, the answer is probably.

Yes: The lingual or back side of the upper front teeth erode from acidic wear due to bulimia. This is not often seen naturally. Severe reflux make also due this. Either way the acid wear needs to be reduced in order to save tooth structure.
