No - it won't.: First off, don't spray mattresses with pesticide (unless label specifies that it can be safely done). Second, many bed bugs are resistant to pyrethroid pesticides.

Not always: Some sarcoptes scabiei (mite causing scabies) became resistant to nix (permethrin) and requires lindane treatment.
