Risperdal: Is a powerful atypical antipsychotic. It is excellent for sleep. However, seroquel (quetiapine) tends to be more weight neutral than risperdal. There have been studies that show if a person eats healthfully and remains physically active that often they gain no weight on an atypical antipsychotic. Consider asking your doctor for a nutrition consult. Take care.
