May cause diarrhea: You can start vitamin e now. Fish oil may give you loose stools/diarrhea, but there is no absolute contraindication to starting it. After cholecystectomy your GI tract will take some time to start functioning normally without gallbladder, so you may have loose stools/diarrhea after eating greasy/fatty foods. Once you can tolerate these foods, fish oil should not be a problem either.
