A 22-year-old female asked:
Is it okay to take benadryl (diphenhydramine) or some allergy medicine while taking shots ? will it negate the allergy shots? which medicine do you recommend ?

Can take meds: Allergy and asthma medicines can be taken along with allergy shots. During the build up phase before the allergy injections beginning helping it is important to continue medication. Once the allergy shots start helping, medication can be used as needed.
