Fungal?: Not visualizing the nail, one would assume you're referring to a nail fungus. This is difficult to treat but is treatable and i believe necessary as it is an infection. If the whole nail: Came off it can take anywhere from 6-12 months. On average a nail grows 1-2 mm per month.
