What are some symptoms of renal failure?... a cousin of mine and my uncle both died from renal failure. in my last urinalysis i had a lot of protein.

Renal failure?: Symptoms of renal failure include, reversal of day-night sleeping pattern, nausea, vomiting, itching, anorexia, edema, hypertension and bleeding from gums, among others. You may not have severe renal failure and you do have proteinuria which needs to be evaluated. See a nephrologist to get a 24 hour urine collection to assess your kidney function and protein in your urine as well as some blood.
