A 24-year-old female asked:
can a pulmonary function test be done safely with a patient with ruptured ovarion cyst and lower abdominal pain with free fluid in the pelvis?

Certainly : The required deep inspiration during the test may be limited by the abdominal pain. If a restrictive pattern is seen, this should be suspected. If you can blow out b-day candles really really hard, then no problem.
