A 33-year-old female asked:

Last night i had painful cramps in lower abdomen.the pain seemed to move with my bowel movement but stopped once i pooped.i take 75mcg synthroid (thyroxine) daily?

If your: Thyroid blood tests are normal, your thyroid problem and it's treatment had nothing to do with your cramps. That was a local GI problem, now apparently resolved.

If it is one: Episode of pain that resolved with a bowel movement, i would not worry. If this becomes a recurrent problem, however, you should consult with your doctor. It is not likely that your synthroid (thyroxine) has anything to do with it.
